Alva Page: It's All About the Walk

I was excited to view the shows in the tents for fashion week this season not just for the clothing but to see the models from around world walk the runway.

This fashion week is the first at lincoln center and from the looks of some of the models, I guess this was their first walk as well.

After seeing 3 shows I decided to vent my frustration inside the AOL booth inside the tents - Click HERE to see video or see below!

Alva Page's Red Carpet....And so it begins....

This year Carolina Music Awards decided to add some spice to the red carpet. What better way to do that, by having an “Alva Page’s Red Carpet , of course. Mr. Page is a world renowned runway coach and fashion expert who has graced BET’s Rip The Runway, MTV’s Made and TV Land. Now he brings his world wide knowledge of fashion to reality TV (& the Carolina Music Awards) via “Alva Page’s Red Carpet Makeover”

Mr. Page and his co-host, Fashionista Betty Jackson, will be selecting nominees to interview on the red carpet and ask that one magical question, “Who/What Are You Wearing?”

Also, Mr. Page and Ms Jackson will pick one nominee to dress from head to toe for the 2010 Carolina Music Awards.

Alva Page New York Fashion Week

It has been a long weekend for me after the run of some of nyc hottest fashion shows and events. i had to collect my thoughts and put everything on paper. i went to some of the elite shows that i wish you could see from men show Perry Ellis to the great DVF and the softer side of a woman Tracy Reese.

I want to say that this was a wonderful year coaching models for the season shows. i work with some of the most wonderful modeling agency's and the models took what i coach them on and they gave it on the runway. my girl from Red models nana open up the tracy reese show giving a alva page 3sec old school model stare along with great movement. Shaw sutton also from Red models gave a very strong presence walk at the Rock&Republic.

I had a wonderful time coaching the beautiful models of Red Model Management nyc(women's division) on how to bring back the true art of the runway model for new york fashion week.

I would like to thank wendy and erin for allowing me to coach there girls this season and wanting to see me WALK which made my day lol!!

This season the Red Girls will give you everything a runway model is suppose to BE! To her new customize walk down the runway, her redefining stance and turns along with her flawless executing of the garment. so let's go RED!
